: As part of the Ramadan Campaign
Fruitful Giving 2025/1446 AH, Qatar Red Crescent Society (QRCS) and Hayat Yolu Association are working together to distribute food parcels to fasting people in Gaza, under the Ramadan Iftar project.
To date, 1,500 food parcels have been distributed, out of a total of 15,300 parcels to be distributed across the blockade.
Dr. Mohamed Salah Ibrahim, Assistant Secretary-General for Relief and International Development at QRCS, supervised the packaging of food parcels in Deir Al-Balah, Central Gaza, funded by Qatar's Afif Charity.
QRCS's personnel in Gaza also distributed 103 food parcels at the Insan Camp in the Central Governorate, which shelters more than 60 wounded and sick Palestinians with chronic diseases, such as kidney failure, cancer, and disabilities.
Regarding QRCS's activity at the camp, Dr. Ibrahim explained, “We selected this camp, which is hosting 150 families, most of whom suffer from severe medical conditions. We tried to make them happy today by delivering food parcels to the eligible patients. QRCS seeks to meet the great needs and assist the residents of this and other camps throughout Gaza, with the contributions by the donors and other people who help make the campaign a success".
In coordination with Gazze Destek Organization, QRCS's office in Gaza continues to prepare and serve hot meals as part of the Ramadan Iftar project. So far, 21,890 meals have been distributed, out of a target of 227,367 being prepared and distributed at shelters in Northern and Southern Gaza throughout the holy month of Ramadan, in support of the war-affected families.
